Isang Milyong Aklat, Isang Milyong Pangarap, the biggest book drive in the country, was introduced by Diether Ocampo on ASAP '07 (abs-cbn) yesterday. The book drive, which is a joint project of AHON Foundation, K.I.D.S. Foundation, and Campaigns & Grey, aims to raise 1 million books in 1 year for the benefit of the poorest public schools all over the country.
Last week, the campaign kicked off with a storytelling session in Malanday Elementary School in Marikina City (AHON's former beneficiary).
Diether Ocampo, the main spokesperson for the campaign and the President of K.I.D.S. Foundation, shared a fun story to the pupils and teachers of Malanday. More of your favorite stars will also be joining this campaign.There are many ways to help us. Storybooks and reference materials for grade school and high school are most welcome.We are going to have drop boxes in pizza hut outlets in Metro Manila for your book donations. We are also recruiting volunteers to help us pick up and sort books.
